Ece completed her undergraduate education at Izmir University of Economics, Department of Industrial Systems Engineering in 2013.

She started her professional career as Group Leader at Hugo Boss company between 2013 and 2016, leading the production teams and being responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of products. Between 2016 and 2017, she worked as an R&D Project Engineer at Hugo Boss and took part in projects on the integration of Industry 4.0 and automation applications into production.

She continued her career at TPI Composite between January and April 2017. She worked as a Process Engineer and carried out process improvement studies on wind turbine blades by leading the process technicians.

In 2017, she continued her career at LM Wind Power, a company affiliated with GE. She worked as a Production Supervisor between 2017-2020 and led production teams in wind turbine blade production processes. She worked as an Operational Supervisor between 2020-2021 and Production Manager between 2021-2023.

Ece Akbil has been serving within Adisa as of 2023.
